Build a Better World 2017 Adult Summer Reading Program

How do I participate?

Participation is easy! Sign up at the library from May 30th to July 5th to get a "Book Bingo" Card.

You can also preregister online from May 10th – May 25th at noon. Be sure to include your library card number on the online form, and don't forget to stop by the library when the program begins on May 30th to get your “Book Bingo” Card.

(Don't lose your Bingo card — you’ll have to start over!)

Don’t have a library card? No Problem! Check out the library's Membership FAQs page to find out how you can get a library card.

Then you can read books, attend library programs, and participate in many other related activities to get stamps on your "Book Bingo" Card between May 30th and July 12th. Each activity is worth one stamp on the card; cards will be stamped by library staff when you return the books you read or when you attend an entire program.

You do not have to complete all the activities on the card, only enough to "bingo" by completing a row (across, down or diagonally) by July 12th to be entered into a drawing for some great prizes!

What kinds of programs are scheduled for ADULTS this summer?

Team Trivia Contest on Saturday, June 24th at 5PM

Round up your smartest friends, family or co–workers to form a three–person team, and really get into the spirit of competition by choosing a team name and uniforms! Multiple teams from your business, department, or organization are encouraged to join the fun. Win a full year of bragging rights, and the chance to win the highly coveted “14 Karat Plastic” trophy suitable for display (in bathrooms, supply closets, or other dimly lit room…). Laughs guaranteed!

Call or come by the library to preregister Wednesday, June 21st — Friday, June 23rd.

Want to participate, but just can’t enough people who are available that evening? Join us at the library on May 20th at 2PM to meet others who need extra people to form a team.

More Free Fun for the Whole Family!

Don't forget about all the other great programs for the whole family like Lunch Munch Movies at noon on Wednesdays, and the Free Friday Programs by special entertainers at 2pm. Be sure to check out the calendar to see a full list of events for the whole family.

All library programs are free, unless otherwise specified.

There is no admittance to programs after the first 15 minutes and/or when the room has reached capacity.

Great door prizes abound at ADULT library programs. Plus everyone who "bingos" will be entered into the drawing for a Kindle Fire and prize books and donations from local businesses that may include coupons, gift certificates and/or merchandise.
