Computer & Internet Acceptible Use Guidelines
- Patrons must have their own library card and be in good standing to use the computers. You may not access the internet with someone else's card.
- If you do not have a Jacksonville Public Library card, you may use the computers with a valid photo ID.
- Minors aged 12 and older must have a parent's permission or must have a permission slip on file to use the computer.
- Minors under the age 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult while at the computer to ensure parental supervision at all times.
- Installation, downloading or modification of software is PROHIBITED.
- Computers WILL NOT be used for accessing illegal (pornographic) materials; for "hacking" or other compromising of ANY systems security, or for engaging in illegal or unethical activities including but not limited to downloading of coryrighted materials.
Patrons are also cautioned against disclosing personal information including credit card and social security numbers.
- Patrons will be responsible for EVERY PAGE HE/SHE PRINTS at a cost of 10¢ per page or 50¢ per page for color prints. Please remember the User ID you enter for your print job as this is the only identifying information library staff sees.
- Patrons are allowed to use removable storage disks, including USB drives. Removable storage media can be purchased from the front desk.
